ZE:A’s Kim Dong Jun has finally picked his first project after his military enlistment.
On April 26, Kim Dong Jun’s agency Major Nine Entertainment confirmed that the idol actor will be starring in the upcoming KBS series “The Goryeo-Khitan War.”
“The Goryeo-Khitan War” will be directed by Jeon Woo Seong and Kim Han Sol and written by Lee Jung Woo. The series will be produced by Monster Union and Viv Studios.
The upcoming drama will tell the story of King Hyeonjong who brought Goryeo together and led the war against Khitan.
Kim Dong Jun will play the role of King Hyeonjong. He is the 8th King of Goryeo and contributed greatly to the foundation of the Goryeo Dynasty. He became a King at the age of 19 and already experienced several difficulties with Khitan invading Goryeo at the beginning of his reign.
Other casts of the drama include Choi Soo Jong and Ji Seung Hyun.
“The Goryeo-Khitan War” will air within the year.
