5 Upcoming Netflix Original K-dramas You Shouldn’t Miss

In the first quarter of 2023, Netflix already didn’t disappoint with their original k-dramas. From “Love To Hate You” and “The Glory Part 2,” have already made a buzz not only in South Korea but also worldwide. Many praised the two dramas for their great storyline, acting, and production.

This is just the beginning. Worry not because Netflix has more in store for us!

Here are some of the upcoming Netflix original series that will premiere this year:

1) Doona!

Doona! will be led by miss A’s Bae Suzy and actor Yang Se Jong. The upcoming k-drama will have a total of 8 episodes. Doona! is pre-filmed and the production already finished filming. There is no official release date yet.

2)Aramun’s Sword: Arthdal Chronicles

This will be the sequel of the Arthdal Chronicles trilogy. The new season will be led by Lee Joon Gi, Shin Se Kyung, Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ok Bin, Shin Joo Hwan, and Park Hae Joon. Aside from Netflix, the series will also premiere on tvN. There will be a total of 12 episodes for this new season.

3)The Uncanny Counter Season 2

After almost three years, The Uncanny Counter Season 2 will officially premiere this year. The new season will still be led by the counters Cho Byeong Kyu, Yoo Joon Sang, Yeom Hye Ran, and Kim Se Jeong. The upcoming new season will continue the journey of the counters who fight against evil spirits on Earth. “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” actor Kang Ki Yong will be the new addition to the cast.

4)A Time Called You

In July of this year, The Korean version of Someday or One Day (Taiwanese drama) will officially air exclusively on Netflix. The upcoming series will be led by Jeon Yeo Been, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Kang Hoon. The k-drama will have a total of 12 episodes.

5)Gyeongseong Creature

Gyeongseong Creature will be the comeback of Park Seo Joon to the dramas. He will be working alongside Han So Hee in the series. According to Netflix, the drama will have a second season. The first season will premiere this year and will have a total of 10 episodes.
